NAC Breda is providing several players for the World Cup. Bart Verbruggen, Jan Paul van Hecke, Matthew Garbett, Gervane Kastaneer, and Dailon Livramento are all former NAC Breda players competing in the tournament. Verbruggen made the move from amateur club WDS'19 to the NAC youth academy in 2014. He played for the NAC youth academy until the summer of 2020, before making the move to RSC Anderlecht. He is now a stable and consistent player for Brighton & Hove Albion FC in the English Premier League. Van Hecke started his football career at NAC in 2018. The youth academy picked him up from amateur club Goes, and he quickly became a central defender. Brighton & Hove Albion FC then picked him up from Breda, and he is now a consistent player for the stable Premier League club. Garbett played for NAC between 2023 and 2025. He played more than sixty official matches. After his adventure with NAC, Garbett moved to the English club Peterborough United, which plays in the League One. Kastaneer played for NAC in the 2018/2019 season and made twenty-two appearances. He now plays for Terengganu FC. Livramento is going to the World Cup with Cape Verde. He played for the NAC youth academy from the summer of 2019 to the summer of 2021. Adventures with MVV Maastricht and Hellas Verona eventually brought him to Casa Pia in Portugal. Graham Arnold, the former NAC player, is the coach of Iraq. He is known as a cult striker who made a name for himself at the Breda club in the late 1990s. Verbruggen has currently played twenty-nine international matches. Van Hecke made sixteen official appearances for NAC's first team. Garbett scored five goals in thirty-eight international matches for New Zealand. Kastaneer scored nine goals in twenty-nine international matches for Curaçao. Livramento scored five goals in twenty international matches for Cape Verde.
